• Firstly to show anyone who has not or can not get to see what is happening with the growth of our baby. For example, people who live a distance away from us.
• Secondly to keep a journal for myself about my child's life. I'd be lieing if I said I was not showing Jr off, sorry.

People may well have noticed the symbol looking like a sperm and three dots at the top of the screen. This is my symbol for Jr as it is a graphical representation of what I can most clearly remember from Jr's first scan. That was Jr laying down reaching over towards the scan pad. So if looked like Jr was reaching towards his father, me. This doesn't mean Jr's only got 3 fingers though. *grins* Also the tad pole thing is Jr's spine or supposed to be.

Naming The Child

Since she has now graced us with her presence we have named her - Elizabeth Rose Holtom. All hail Elizabeth or am I getting ahead of myself proclaiming her royal?

We do not mean to upset anyone

This site does not want to upset people who are having trouble having children, or have lost children. We, both Victoria and I, went through 2 years of trying before we became blessed with Jr. So we too know what it is like to feel incomplete and how upsetting it is. As we never told people we were trying so we would not be upset with people asking, How's it coming? Are you pregnant yet? But going this way we had the silent upset of seeing a lot of friends having children. Either way it can be hard.

11/5/2005 WK 16 - Mid wife

Been to the mid wife in Barnoldswick. She's quite nice so that's a help. Also she helped us with a few questions we had. Apparently Jr's now 15cm's long and has a heart rate of 160 beats per minute. Listening to Vic's she's not far off too even at rest.

29/04/2005 WK 14 - The Scans

As of 29/04/2005 we have three scans done at Burnely General Hospital. I have tried to keep them as clear as possible. Since any bright light or scanning would turn the photos black.

I have also marked out each section on a second picture showing you what is what, as they can be confusing to look at.

18/06/2005 Father's Day

I am pleased to announce I got my FIRST fathers day present today. Nope not that Hornby train set I've been after for years or that new Computer game, but I felt Jr's kick me for the first time. Actually twice and quite strong too. Vic's been feeling them for a while, kicking her bladder and cervix, but what a father's day eh... not even out of the womb and Jr's got it right. *Grins*
